I live an insect life. I detest pop culture and mock it relentlessly. I have a sense of humor, but mostly find myself laughed at rather than laughed with... not that there's anything wrong with that...

The Questing Beast

He followed in fleeting circuits
the elusive glatisant girl.
He measured in meandering mobius strips
every cascading waterfall curl.

She fled his familiar gaze
as if his eyes could cast deadly rays.
She wore hats to hide her brunette curls
and the bridalveil stopped. Silent and still.

How can such beauty - stop?
How can such love be lost?

Like a waterfall hunter in Yellowstone,
finding the secret that seizes his eye
To discover in mere moments
that the cascade runs dry.

Then the search becomes the thing;
Pellinore, ancient and wandering king.
To find another glatisant girl
who will willingly counter my gaze.

These eyes bring hope and new life.
Not the death so long retold.
His strength she will gladly embrace,
Her tresses he will lovingly hold.

Sorry, but I don't have your e-mail! I'm sending notes to all the bloggers we link to on tracypress.com. Had a thought. We could write a little more about you and your blog on the "Blogs from the community" page (http://tracypress.com/content/view/2908/50/. Could you send us something?

Here's what we got from Jeff Sparkman, who used to write a column for the Tracy Press. His is our latest blog to add to the list.

Siftin', by Jeff Sparkman, Mountain House
Sparkman shares observations on pop culture's forgotten and should-be forgotten. Looking for cheap laughs? This is the place. As it says on the blog, Siftin' is "living in the past for a better tomorrow."

If you send me something like that (the name of the blog and your name and town) along with a 50-word-or-less description of your blog, I'll add it to the page. And you'll probably get more looky-loos. Don't worry. We won't start charging you for this. It's just a treat for the people who go to our site.

One more thing: This is your chance to ask us to take the link to your blog off our site, if you want.
Thanks!
Cheri
